Together with one of our key suppliers we have developed the
iBOS battery management system. iBOS stands for Intelligent
Battery Organiser System, and manages the selection of fully
re-charged batteries in the charging bay.
How does iBOS work?

The operator enters the bay and is directed
in plain language to the BEST battery to use next. If the
correct battery is taken the display will change to the next
battery in the queue for the next operator. By rotating the
spare batteries correctly the customer can be sure to get
the maximum life from their batteries.
The system has been installed in over thirty
sites in the UK over the last five years and is proving to
be an extremely reliable and highly successful product. Customers
in manufacturing, distribution and warehousing have improved
their battery life and efficiency by using our system.

Customers have also found that the system helps
them to better manage their battery assets and with the information
provided via laptop computer download or e-messenger they
can address issues with more accurate and helpful data.
Benefits
Instructs operators which is the 'best' next
battery to take.
Eliminates operator judgment by displaying the location of
the battery which has been cooling the longest after charge.
Promotes longer battery life through uniform
usage.
By sequencing each battery in the order it has finished charging,
iBOS™ helps ensure each battery in the fleet is evenly
used leading to longer battery life.
Helps you decide if you have too many or too
few batteries.
iBOS™ efficiency reporting shows you times when you
run out of batteries and times when there are too many batteries
standing idle.
Helps identify faulty equipment.
iBOS™ diagnostic reporting clearly shows any charger
location that has not been used recently. An unused charger
indicates faulty equipment.
Helps reduce misuse.
iBOS™ can immediately alarm when an operator takes a
battery which is not the next battery in the queue. Out of
sequence picks are recorded.
